Titre: Mean World (I)
Posté par: Calixte le 15 Juin 2017 à 11:21:18
Like a little one who's just new
Im only as young as the second is,
I watch the days through my window
I read and wonder how the world is

Like a tiny bird flows away
Im only as free as the wind could be,
I dream, let my mind in the clouds
I whisper to earth which then tells me

Oh girl, It's a mean world over here
Plants fading, trees hiding
Mankind burning, youth worrying
You'd better stay away from fear
Oh girl, it's a mean world over here

Like a hungry kid begging you
Im only as pure as a virgin is,
I write and stay curious about who
Who were the people next to me

Like a angry man leading war
Im only as fool as the crowd could be,
Individuals around me
I found them and lost me

Oh girl, it's a mean world over here
Chaos running, glasses falling
Walls keep rising, men keep hating
You'd better stay away from fear
Oh girl, it's a mean world over here

Like an old inmate crying shame
Im only as sorry as devil should be,
All this silence in the air
A brand fresh day calling me

Like a holly monk seating proud
Im only as wise as a god should be,
I praise myself and feed my soul
Starve my ego, nurse the new me
