Dry Season
In the realm of dryness, the land despairs,
Where farms lie barren, stripped of fruitful airs.
The scorching sun bakes crops upon the stalk,
A harvest lost and hunger takes its toll.
Despair befalls the farmers in this strife,
For dry season steals their hopes, their very life.
With desperation looming, fires ignite,
As men seek fertile soil within their sight.
Vast flames devour, their smoke fills the sky,
Consuming forests, where life used to thrive.
The once-lush greens reduced to blackened earth,
A haunting scene of nature's wounded wreath.
Yet amidst the chaos, some creatures roam,
Seeking solace near a babbling stream's foam.
A trickle of water, a lifeline true,
Amidst the boulders, where hope still shines through.
Will it endure until the season's sway,
When rains return to wash the drought away?
This accursed dry season can’t last always…
