On the verge of dusk
Luminous hills reigning with clouds
Great number of square voids
Cast within casements painted in green
In white, or with wax of time and soot
Countless eyes or one only eye
Unblinking behind the dark windows
Running through their long rows
Against which the last beams of the sky
Glance off and fall, lifeless arrows
Unfathomable mirrors adorned with
Disdainful reflections
Dark and clear they look over
Streets deserted by children
